A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to inactive email addresses under the same domain. For example, an email sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get messages from buddies or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Only one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain point you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be delivered to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

Configuring a catch-all e-mailbox will be remarkably easy in case you’ve got a cloud hosting with our company. You can enable this feature through our powerful, albeit simple-to-work-with Email Manager tool, which is part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you’ll administer the shared web hosting account itself. You will see all the mailboxes that you’ve set up listed alphabetically and on the right-hand side of each one there will be a small "Catch-all" icon, which will instantly tell you whether a certain mailbox stores all the email messages associated with a certain domain or not. With one mouse click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this option whenever you wish. If there is activated email forwarding or in case another mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a particular domain, you will receive a warning text message from our system. The latter won’t replace/disable anything automatically and without your approval.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom-developed Hepsia Control Panel that is included with each and every semi-dedicated server package that we offer will allow you to configure a catch-all mailbox without effort even in case you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All it takes to accomplish that is to click on the catch-all icon, which will be to the right of each email address that you have created with your domain names in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will notify you if you have already set up a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you’d like to use has email forwarding activated. In case you decide that you do not want this feature anymore, you can deactivate it by clicking once again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
